In November 1992, Bill Drummond and Mark Manning (and Gimpo at the wheel) drove to Nordkapp with an icon of Elvis which they hoped to place at the North Pole to funnel world peace down through the ley lines.
Unbeknownst to our heroes, however, the Arctic Ocean never freezes by the coast. So Elvis was passed to the Helnes lighthouse keeper, next to Nordkapp at the top end of Europe, to be nailed to the wall of the kitchen galley, to spread those good vibes south.
Sitting here in the middle of 2020’s, it feels like Elvis might need a little recharging.
And as luck would have it…
Thirteen hundred kilometres south of Nordkapp, also on the twenty-fifth meridian, lies a rock at the geographical centre of Helsinki, a glacial erratic known to locals as the Helsinki Heart Stone. This Stone is surrounded by a twelve-stone Circle, 10 kilometres across, and together they form the spokes and hub of an energetic wheel which revolves through a process called Perambulation.
Thus, Leonid Paukku, Milena Solomun and The Perambulator will exit Helsinki in a 4×4 on the Summer Solstice 2026 and drive the long road north to Regenerate the original icon by Perambulating an open channel south to the Heart Stone to prime a rare longitudinal groove through which the energy can flow unhindered.
This done, Helsinki Heart Stone Circle will then be prepared at a later date to make ready to spread those healing vibrations out across the globe in all the twelve directions.
And with everything fully abuzz,
One summer’s night probably in August,

The Elvis icon was burned at Nordkapp on 22 June 2026 along with red and black beans, dragon-fire ashes, and stones and sand collected from across five continents, thus priming the northern pole of the line
Ash from this fire will be carried back south down the 25th meridian to Helsinki to be used in parts II and III of the ritual
