The pagan feast of Lemuria was celebrated annually in Ancient Rome on 13 May. Its purpose was to expel malevolent spirits from the home by chanting and throwing beans.
On 9 May the Flycatcher Bicycle Caravan will ride around the Helsinki Heart Stone Circle scattering beans as it goes. The ride will begin at the Sompasaari Sauna Stone at noon.
Everyone is welcome to join the Caravan for all or part of the ride, or to find their own way. But please note that all the normal COVID-19 distancing measures will apply, so feel free to go your own way and join in alone
