My name is Nando de Bruijn. I’m a 33-year-old trans man who is finally starting hormone replacement therapy two days after this event. Since I like to go big instead of going home, I’ve arranged this event to celebrate my second birth. Everyone is welcome everyone to celebrate with me. Let’s put the FUN back in ‘funeral’!
The sad part, the funeral procession, will start at the gate to Kolmas linja 7 at 15.30. I suggest people arrive a bit early. You can look sad, cry, and wear black if you want, but it’s not mandatory. We will then march to the rocks at Ilolanpuisto (just a couple of blocks) where the actual fun will begin. Those who are quick and/or strong enough can then proceed to bar Musta Kissa (AKA my other home) for the evening part.
We will be serving some sparkling wine until it runs out. If you’re afraid you’ll be left without, you’re more than welcome to bring your own bottle (or three)!
